Emmanuel Adebayo
Biography
Emmanuel Adebayo is a faculty at the Adolescent Health Unit, of the Institute of Child Health, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He has a master’s in public health and a PhD in Adolescent Health. He has been involved in the design, planning and implementation of several adolescent health programs and research at sub-national, national, and global level. Emmanuel led the recent development of the first Monitoring and evaluation plan for the health and development of adolescents in Nigeria. He also led the domestication of this plan and the national adolescent health policy in two states in two political regions of the country. He is a co-chair of the data, information management and accountability sub-committee of the National Technical Working Group on Adolescent Health, a co-chair of the WHO led expert committee on adolescent health metrics – the Global Action for the Measurement of Adolescent Health (GAMA) and a member of the advisory expert committee for the Global Financing Facility (GFF).
