Glenn Marsh

Dr Glenn Marsh is a Principal Research Scientist at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia, based at the CSIRO Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness. Dr Marsh is an internationally recognised expert with a strong focus on the pathogenesis of emerging viral diseases, including henipaviruses and filoviruses. Dr Marsh is trained to work at the highest levels of biosafety and has been working at PC4 for the past 16 years. He has extensive experience in the development of animal models for serious pathogens, the use of these models in preclinical assessment of vaccine and therapeutic efficacy and in the use of reverse genetics to genetically modify pathogens to investigate determinants of pathogenicity.
