Ms Hannah Monica Dias in her role as Crosscutting Lead within the World Health Organization's (WHO) Global Tuberculosis Programme, spearheads efforts aimed at advancing multisectoral engagement and accountability in the fight against tuberculosis (TB). Central to her work is the strengthening of collaboration between the health sector with other sectors and stakeholders including the private sector, recognizing their crucial role in addressing the key drivers of the TB epidemic. She coordinates WHO's Flagship Initiative on ending TB – that focuses on accelerating universal access to quality, WHO-recommended TB prevention and care, advancing research especially into new TB vaccines, strengthening engagement and accountability across sectors beyond health, and on linkages to the broader health agendas on antimicrobial resistance, universal health coverage and pandemic preparedness. She is deeply involved in high-level advocacy efforts and knowledge sharing, ensuring that key stakeholders, including youth and civil society, are mobilized to tackle TB effectively. She also provides critical support to countries in adapting and implementing key guidance, including WHO’s Multisectoral Accountability Framework.

Prior to her tenure at WHO, she contributed to the intersection of HIV and trade at the International Trade Centre in Geneva. Her earlier experience at a private non-profit hospital in Mumbai, India, provided her with invaluable insights into healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.

She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Mumbai, India, and a Master’s degree in International Health Policy from the London School of Economics.
