Herman Goossens

Herman Goossens is Emeritus Professor of Microbiology, University of Antwerp, Belgium. He has chaired and served on numerous expert committees for the World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Commission on Antimicrobial resistance. He was one of the founders of Ecraid (European Clinical Research Alliance for Infectious Diseases). He is part of many EU-funded projects, including adaptive platform trials for pandemics and epidemics (ECRAID-PRIME and ECRAID-Base), the European Corona Vaccine Trial Accelerator Platform (VACCELERATE) and Building a European strategic Research and Innovation Area in Direct Synergy with EU and international initiatives for Pandemic Preparedness and response (BE-READY).”
