Mr Emilio Hornsey is an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse with the United Kingdom - Public Health Rapid Support Team. This is a collaboration between Public Health England and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine that combines outbreak response, capacity building and research in low and middle income countries.
Mr Hornsey has worked in outbreak response since 2014, in a variety of domestic and overseas settings. Prior to this his clinical experience was focused on aeromedical evacuation, emergency care and infectious diseases. His research focus is on human factors and under-served groups in IPC.
Mr Hornsey has operational experience with the NHS, United Kingdom armed forces, NGOs and Public Health Agencies and is currently on the United Kingdom - EMT register.
