Hussain Al Ramimmy
Biography
Hussain Al Ramimmy is a Senior Specialized Pharmacist, currently serves as the Director of Pharmacovigilance and Drug Information at the Drug Safety Center within Oman's Ministry of Health (MOH). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Strathclyde University (Glasgow) in 1998, and later earning a Master's Degree in Pharmacology from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2011. His expertise spans over 25 years in the regulatory affairs, focusing on pharmacovigilance, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) inspection, Global Benchmarking Tool (GBT) assessment (vigilance function), and Narcotic and Psychotropics Inspection. He actively engages in many technical committees within the MOH, including those responsible for registration of pharmaceutical products, herbal and health products. Additionally, he leads as the head of the Pharmacovigilance Technical Committee and contributes to the Task Force for the Central Drug Committee (CDC). He is also currently a member of the as a member of the WHO Advisory Committee on Safety of Pharmaceutical Products (ACSoMP). He served as the Chairman of the Oman Pharmacy Association from 2014 to 2016.
