Dr Jason Ong

Jason Ong is a sexual health physician, epidemiologist, and health economist. He is Director of the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre, Australia's largest sexual health service, and the inaugural Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Sexual Health.

His research focuses on the prevention and control of sexually transmitted infections, the evaluation of sexual health interventions, and strategies to improve health outcomes for underserved and marginalised populations.

Drawing on expertise in clinical medicine, epidemiology, and health economics, he leads research that informs policy, service delivery, and resource allocation in sexual health. His work addresses barriers to healthcare access and generates evidence to support equitable, person-centred approaches to sexual health programmes and services.
