Professor Jeffrey D. Klausner

Jeffrey D. Klausner is Clinical Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) and Population and Public Health Sciences at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC), where he directs the Klausner Research Group. He is a physician, epidemiologist, and public health specialist whose work focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and control of HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, and other infectious diseases.

His research spans clinical medicine, public health practice, diagnostics, digital health, and implementation science, with projects conducted across the United States, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

He previously held leadership positions in STI and HIV prevention programmes in the United States and South Africa, including with the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

He has served as an advisor to national and international public health organizations and has contributed extensively to evidence generation and policy development aimed at improving access to infectious disease prevention and care.
