Biography

John Kabongo Ntambwe is a medical doctor and nutritional epidemiologist, with experience as a researcher in nutritional problems in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He is a member of the scientific committee of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN), a movement that promotes nutrition in the DRC He is also a member of the Congolese Society of Nutrition and Food (SCONUTAL). He has experience in implementing community-based approaches, in the area of monitoring, evaluation and supervision. He also has experience in collecting quantitative and qualitative data in rural and urban DR Congo. He provides technical support to DRC Government Partners and civil society organizations. He also is part of ensuring adherence to appropriate ethical standards throughout research in DRC and is responsible for the training of staff in research methods, data management and quality control. He is currently working as an operational research officer in the National Nutrition Programme to the Ministry of Health in the DRC.
