Tang Kun
Biography
Dr. Kun Tang is an associate professor at Vanke School of Public Health, Tsinghua University, China. He is currently the Deputy Director of the Tsinghua University China-Africa Leadership Development Center. His research interests include global health, development aid for health and maternal and child health.
He was the co-chair of the World Health Organization Global Advisory Group on Adolescent Health Metrics (2023-2024), and a member of the World Health Organization COVID-19 Global Research Roadmap Social Science Group. He also serves as the global health adviser of the Chinese Delegation to the World Health Assembly.
He has extensive working experience on a number of global health projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, D.R. Congo, Myanmar, Zimbabwe, and Papua New Guinea. He obtained his M.B.B.S. from Peking University, a Master’s in Global Health from Harvard University, and D.Phil. from the University of Oxford.
