Lale Say
Biography
Dr Lale Say has specialist training in reproductive health epidemiology and research from Edinburgh University and a medical degree from University of Istanbul. She works at the Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research of the World Health Organization, heading the Unit on integration of sexual and reproductive health with health systems. Dr Say has worked at the World Health Organization, since 2002, initially managing the monitoring and evaluation activities and global monitoring of maternal and reproductive health indicators, and later, as the coordinator of adolescent and at risk populations. Before joining WHO, Dr Say has worked at the Ministry of Health in Turkey in managing programmes, and at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of the University of Istanbul Medical School with clinical, research and teaching responsibilities. Dr Say has published substantially in various areas of sexual and reproductive health.
