Biography

Lalisa Nambeye is Acting Public Health Specialist at the Lusaka District Health Office, Ministry of Health, Zambia, where she provides strategic leadership for public health programmes serving a large urban population. Her work focuses on communicable disease control, disease surveillance, epidemic intelligence, emergency preparedness and response, and the implementation of HIV, tuberculosis, and sexually transmitted infection programmes.

She has extensive experience translating global and national public health guidance into district-level practice and strengthening health systems through implementation science. She served as Incident Manager for the Lusaka District Health Office during Zambia's 2023-2024 cholera outbreak and has contributed to the development and review of WHO guidance on emergency preparedness and community protection during infectious disease outbreaks.

Her interests include health system strengthening, public health emergency management, and improving the delivery of integrated health services.
