Dr Laurent Guillier
Biography
Laurent Guillier is a food microbiologist specializing in mathematical modelling and ecophysiology of foodborne pathogens. He currently serves as a project leader in the Risk Assessment Department at ANSES (French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety). His research interest lies in understanding the causes of foodborne diseases and exploring measures to reduce their burden. He has authored over 110 scientific papers, focusing particularly on microbial genomics, quantitative microbial risk assessment, predictive microbiology, and source attribution. He has also participated in or coordinated more than 70 ANSES opinions and has been involved in several expert groups at the international level, including EFSA and FAO/WHO.
