Dr Madhuri Kanitkar

Dr Madhuri Kanitkar is a highly decorated veteran of the Indian Army Medical Corps, with 39 years of distinguished service. A gold medalist and medical graduate from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, she holds an MD in Pediatrics from INHS Asvini and advanced training in Pediatric Nephrology from AIIMS New Delhi, NUH Singapore, and GOS London. She has served as Professor and Head of Pediatrics and Dean at AFMC.  As former Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, she led numerous innovative initiatives in health education, student welfare, and research, fostering a holistic approach to wellness. Her exceptional contributions have been recognized with Presidential awards: Param Vishist Seva Medal (2022), Ati Vishist Seva Medal (2018), and Vishist Seva Medal (2014). She currently serves on the Prime Minister's Science, Technology, and Innovation Advisory Council.
