Biography

Dr Manju Rahi is an epidemiologist and senior scientist at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, where she serves as the Deputy Director General of the Division of Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases. With over two decades of experience in public health, her expertise spans vector-borne diseases, malaria elimination, and operational research. Dr Rahi is dedicated to translating research into policy and has played a key role in shaping national strategies, including introducing innovative vector control methods such as Wolbachia-based dengue control and advancing the national malaria elimination agenda. She has led several high-impact research studies and serves on national and international advisory bodies, contributing her expertise to the WHO and other global health organizations.

Dr Rahi is a member of the Vector Control Advisory Group (VCAG) since 2024.
