Marcel Bahizi

Dr. Marcel Bahizi is an economist with over 10 years of experience in the public sector. Currently, he works as a Market and Pricing Analyst at Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority. He also serves as a part-time lecturer at the University of Rwanda/The African Centre of Excellence in Data Science (ACE-DS) and Kigali Independent University. Additionally, Dr. Bahizi is an external examiner for the University of Rwanda and conducts research and consultancy in economic and public policy analysis, environmental economics, cost-benefit analysis, feasibility studies, business development plan design, and strategic planning. Before joining Rwanda FDA, he worked as a Budget and Public Accountability researcher at the Parliament of Rwanda/the Senate. He holds a Ph.D. degree in applied economics, majoring in International Economics, from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), along with two master's degrees in applied economics and public policy from the National University of Rwanda and Peking University, respectively.
