Marco Tuccori

Biography

Marco Tuccori graduated with Honors at the School of Pharmacy of the University of Pisa (2001) and achieved the PhD in Pharmacology and Medical Physiology at the University of Pisa (2011) (thesis: risk of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy in non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients receiving rituximab). He is employed as Clinical Pharmacist Head (Pharmacovigilance Tuscany Regional Centre Representative) at the Unit of Adverse Drug Reactions Monitoring of the University Hospital of Pisa (2009-ongoing). He is currently member of the Working Group of Agenzia Italiana del Farmaco and Regional Pharmacovigilance Centers for Signal Detection Analysis on Drugs and Vaccines. He is free-of-charge professor of Evidence Based Medicine and Communication on Drugs and Vaccines at the department of Pharmacy of the University of Pisa. He was a member of the advisory board of the International society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP) (2012-2019). He attended a post-doc fellowship at the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology, McGill University (Montreal, Canada) (2015). He is co-chair of the ISoP Scientific Board (2022-ongoing), Coordinator of the ISoP European Chapter (2023-ongoing), and member of the Steering Group of the European Network of Centers for Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology (ENCePP) (2023-ongoing). He is the author of about 120 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
