Prof Martins Emeje

Prof Martins Emeje is a distinguished Nigerian Professor of Drug Delivery and Nanomedicine, currently serving as Director-General of the Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA). He is also the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the European University of Nigeria and a Fellow of the African Academy of Sciences.

With over 180 publications and 3,000+ citations, he has led major research initiatives including an $11.6M grant for drug development from Nigerian medicinal plants. His work has yielded the development of several phytomedicines now listed by Nigeria’s FDA. He has held leadership roles in professional associations and government cooperatives, where impactful training and skills programs were initiated. He has mentored over 130 pharmacist-interns and facilitated international scholarships for more than 23 postgraduate students.
