Biography

Dr Meredith Fendt-Newlin joined WHO in 2014 and is currently a Technical Officer in Health Labour Market and Partnerships Unit. In this role, she oversees the programme management and coordination to a range of key health workforce and partnership initiatives, including for the Working for Health (W4H) Programme and its Multi-Partner Trust Fund, the W4H Technical Secretariat and the Working for Health: China Grant project.

Meredith earned her PhD from the University of York, UK in Social Policy and Social Work.

She brings experience from across three levels of WHO, having worked on health systems strengthening initiatives in mental health at WHO headquarters, the Regional Office for Europe and the Country Office in Turkey.
