Dr Mouna Jameleddine

Biography

Dr Mouna Jameleddine is the director of the HTA department at the National Authority for Assessment and Accreditation in Healthcare (INEAS) of Tunisia. She is serving as the chair of the HTA roundtable for Middle East and Africa of the Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research and the co-chair of GINAHTA, a joint group between the International Network of Agencies for HTA (INAHTA) and Guidelines International Network. She also served as a board member and vice-president of  INAHTA between 2018 and 2022.

With over 15 years of experience in public health, Dr Jameleddine plays a leading role in HTA implementation in the North Africa and Middle East region, focusing on enhancing its use for coverage and pricing decisions. She also conducted several HTA capacity building activities throughout the MENA countries. Prior to this, she collaborated within the cabinet of the Minister of Health on defining health technologies policies.

Dr Jameleddine contributed to various WHO guidelines and was part of several WHO technical advisory groups, including cost effectiveness data across settings, HTA and benefit packages, and the WHO 2021 TAG on pricing policies.

Holder of a PhD in pharmacy and a master’s degree in drug development, Dr Jameleddine graduated in pharmacoeconomics of drugs and medical devices from the Paris Descartes University in France. She also holds the European Market Access University Diploma (EMAUD).
