Natalia Fedyanina

Ms Natalia Fedyanina is a translator and medical device nomenclature specialist at the National Quality Institute—an expert institution under the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor), the federal executive body overseeing Russia’s healthcare system.

She previously worked in medical device safety monitoring at the Centre for Monitoring and Clinical and Economic Expert Evaluation, also subordinate to Roszdravnadzor. With over eleven years of experience, she specializes in the Russian national medical device nomenclature, based on the Global Medical Device Nomenclature (GMDN).

Her work includes translating GMDN Terms into Russian, adapting the nomenclature to national regulatory requirements, assigning registered and submitted medical devices to appropriate nomenclature terms, and developing standards for equipping medical facilities using nomenclature codes. She also contributes to the medical device nomenclature framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
