Professor Nataliya Nizova

Natalya Nizova is a physician, public health specialist, and professor with extensive experience in HIV, sexual and reproductive health, tuberculosis, and public health programme leadership.

She has held senior roles in Ukraine's public health sector, leading national institutions and supporting the development and implementation of policies and programmes to address communicable diseases and strengthen health systems. Her work focuses on HIV prevention, elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis, reproductive health, and public health programme management.

She has served on several international advisory and governance bodies, including those of WHO, UNAIDS, and the Global Fund, contributing to the development of evidence-informed public health policies and strategies. Since 2022, she has provided technical support to programmes serving refugees and migrants in eastern Europe and central Asia, with a particular focus on maintaining access to HIV and STI prevention, testing, and treatment services during humanitarian crises.
