Neha Khandpur
Biography
Neha Khandpur, ScD, is an Assistant Professor at the Division of Human Nutrition and Health at the Wageningen University in the Netherlands. Her research explores the link between dietary patterns and noncommunicable diseases and develops and tests interventions for healthy food choices. She leverages a broad toolkit of research methods – analytic epidemiology, qualitative methods, mixed methods, and randomized experiments – to gain insights into food choices and long-term health. Her work spans multiple global contexts including Brazil, the Caribbean, Colombia, Ethiopia, India, Netherlands, US, and the UK.
She serves on the Food Retail and the Food Labelling leadership committees of the International Network for Food and Obesity/non-communicable diseases Research, Monitoring and Action Support (INFORMAS), and the Nutrition Committee of the American Heart Association. She also serves as a research consultant to several international health organizations include the Pan American Health Organization, UNICEF, and Bloomberg Philanthropies.
