Nguyen Thi Thuy Hanh
Biography
Associate Professor at the Department of Population and Reproductive Health. She currently teaches population health, medical anthropology, reproductive health, and research methods for medical students. Her international health experience can be traced to her time working in different countries. She has a broad background in global health, with specific expertise in epidemiological and anthropological research on reproductive health, specifically the topics on abortion and roles of gender, antenatal screening, malformation of fetus and reproductive choices, health services relating to Prevention Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT), intimate partner violence, mental disorder among pregnant women and new mothers. Her works also have focused on the development of guidelines and curriculum to support the implementation of health education programs on sexual and reproductive health.
