Dr Zhibin Peng
Biography
Zhibin Peng is the Director of Branch of Respiratory Infectious Disease, Division of Infectious Disease, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, team leader of Influenza Vaccine Working Group of the Technical Working Group of the National Immunization Program, and the correspondence editor of Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease. From 1998 to 2006, Zhibin Peng has undertaken her bachelor’s and master’s degree at the Peking University Health Center. Since working in the China CDC in 2006, she has been mainly engaged in academic research and professional management work related to some respiratory infectious diseases, such as influenza, human avian influenza, and other common and new respiratory infectious diseases monitoring and prevention, vaccination strategies, disease burden and intervention evaluation.
After the outbreak of COVID-19, as a core member of the epidemic emergency response prevention and control technical team of the China CDC, Zhibin Peng has been engaged in prevention and control of COVID-19, providing professional recommendations and technical support for the development of prevention and control strategies and measures.
