Biography

Peter Holland is Chief Executive of IAPB, the overarching alliance for the global eye care sector with more than 200 members from the NGO, corporate and health sectors. It is one of the most influential global public health alliances, leading the effort to ensure that the more than a billion people who do not have access get the eye care they need, launching a campaign that now reaches half a billion people worldwide, and influencing political leaders to put eye health on the global development agenda.

Before IAPB, Peter was Chief Executive of OPM Group a social purpose research and consultation business. Peter began his career in the NHS transforming primary care services in south London over 10 years.

He then joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office where his roles included leading the international community’s multisector effort to stop the heroin trade from Afghanistan; Director of International Policy for Intellectual Property, including negotiating intellectual property agreements with the EU and China; and a posting to India.
