Professor Pinyo Rattanaumpawan

Professor of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand

Biography

After obtaining her M.D., Board of Internal Medicine and Board of Infectious diseases from Thailand, Dr Rattanaumpawan subsequently received MSCE (Pharmacoepidemiology concentration) and PhD (Epidemiology) from Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania (United States).

Her current fulltime position is Professor of Medicine at Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. In addition to the leadership role in antimicrobial stewardship at Siriraj Hospital, she has also been appointed several important roles at the national level including an executive member of Infectious Disease Association of Thailand, a member of National AMR working group, and a member of National List of Essential Medicine (Infectious Disease Subcommittee). Dr Rattanaumpawan currently leads national efforts to implement antimicrobial stewardship programs across regional hospitals in Thailand.

Her research interests focus on bacterial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship programs. She published more than 70 international publications related to infectious diseases and health economic analysis.
