Dr Polydor Ngoy Mutombo

Dr Polydor Ngoy Mutombo is a public health epidemiologist with over 20 years of national and international experience in advisory, research and project management in Africa, the South Pacific and South-East Asia. Dr Mutombo is an adjunct fellow at the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, Southern Cross University, Australia. His research interests include neglected tropical diseases, emerging infectious diseases, preparedness for future risks, pandemic planning and One Health.

In the past years, through his roles with Africa CDC, the World Bank, WHO, Research Institutes, and other NGOs, he supported countries in health emergency, preparedness and response, and health security, specifically in operational reviews, preparedness assessments, and emergency coordination mechanisms across multiple countries, With several international participations and exposure to SimEx, After Action Review (AAR), and Intra-Action Review (IAR) in both infectious diseases and natural disasters, he has contributed immensely to disease outbreak investigations and containment through One Health approach collaborations.
