Professor Abdol Majid Cheraghali

Abdol Majid Cheraghali (Pharm.D.; Ph.D.) is a professor of pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, BMS University, Tehran, Iran. He has chaired the faculty for the past 9 years (2013-2022). He is also a member of Iran national pharmacy education board and Iran Academy of Sciences. His research is mainly focused on clinical and cost effectiveness evaluation of new medicines, pharmacoeconomics, developing national formulary and health/medicine policy in developing countries. He has published more than 100 papers in peer reviewed journals and several books in these fields. He has also served as temporary advisor in several WHO moderated meetings in the headquarters and different countries of EMRO WHO region in the past two decades.
