Professor Olivier Deschenes

Olivier Deschenes is Professor of Economics at the University of California Santa Barbara in the United States of America, with affiliation with the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management. Professor Deschenes’s areas of expertise include the benefits and costs associated with policies that improve environmental quality, the impacts of climate change and climate change adaptation on human health and economic productivity, and the economic, environmental, and equity consequences of the low-carbon transition. Professor Deschenes is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA). Professor Deschenes has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Economics and a PhD in Economics.
