Pépé Bilivogui
Biography
Dr BILIVOGUI holds a Master Degree in Public Health from the Prince Leopold Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp in Belgium and a Medicine Diploma from the University of Conakry (currently named Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry – UGANC).
He is a Public Health Specialist, who occupied many key positions within the national health pyramid of Guinea, from community level to central level as National Director of Public Hygiene for the Ministry of Health.
As expert consultant, he has conducted many assessments and surveys on various subsequent topics such as health impact of Climate change, health and biodiversity, and was strongly implicated in the fight against Epidemics and Pandemics diseases.
Namely, in the fight against the Ebola outbreak, he was the first Field Executive Coordinator in Guinea, and became subsequently a member of the National Coordination of Response against the Ebola Outbreak, and the Chief Medical Officer of the Surveillance Unit.
Dr Bilivogui’s experience in Epidemiology and in the fight against Epidemics and Pandemics diseases allowed him to work in the One Health Implementation process in his country, where he is currently the Technical Advisor – Permanent Secretary of the Technical Multisectoral Committee of the One Health Platform.
Recently He has also mentored students in Guinea for the Field Epidemiological Training Program – FETP/AFENET (US CDC).
