Biography

Dr Rajendra-Prasad Yadav is currently Coordinator for the Accelerated Communicable Disease Programmes Unit at the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific and has over 25 years of experience in communicable disease control, primary health care strengthening and digital innovation.

He has held WHO roles in India, Papua New Guinea, Cambodia and the Philippines, contributing to regional and country efforts to strengthen health systems and accelerate progress in disease prevention and control.

Dr Yadav holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and a Doctor of Medicine in Preventive and Social Medicine. He has published extensively on tuberculosis and health systems.
