Dr Ravi Narayan Naidu

Biography

Dr Ravi Narayan Naidu is a physician at Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva, Fiji, specializing in infectious diseases since 2016.

Holding a Master's degree in epidemiology of infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance from the University of Glasgow, he is also a Chair of the National Communicable Disease Committee and Chairperson of the hospital's infection prevention control committee. Dr Naidu has also served as the Chair of the clinical TWG for Fiji's national antibiotic guideline and antimicrobial stewardship.

A national representative at various international forums, he has contributed significantly to the discourse on antimicrobial resistance, particularly in the Western Pacific region. Dr Naidu holds memberships in the Fiji Medical Association and the Australasian Infectious Disease Society.

A Fijian national, he is recognized for his work in infectious diseases and active involvement in establishing effective antimicrobial stewardship at a national level.
