Richard Hill

Mr Richard Hill worked for seven years in hospital-based medicine before joining Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration in 1999 as a premarket clinical evaluator. He has worked in pharmacovigilance at TGA since 2001, as well as three years in the Pharmacovigilance Services Department at the WHO Uppsala Monitoring Centre in Sweden.

 

Most recently, Richard was a Senior Medical Officer in the Clinical & Safety Monitoring Section of the International Regulatory Branch at TGA. This Section provided pharmacovigilance support to countries in the Indo-Pacific region, with a focus on COVID-19 vaccines.

 

Richard’s particular interests include methodologies for signal detection and assessment, causality assessment, taxonomy, communication and training in pharmacovigilance
