Dr Rita Banzi
Biography
Rita Banzi holds a doctoral degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a post-graduate specialization in Clinical Pharmacology. She is head of the Center for Health Regulatory Policies at the Mario Negri Institute in Milan, Italy. Her main fields of expertise are drug regulatory policies, health research methodology and ethics, evidence synthesis, data sharing and transparency in research, topics she teaches at the Universities of Milan and Modena and Reggio Emilia in Italy. She runs critical analyses of the legislation and regulation of pharmaceutical products at the European level. She supports several clinical investigators and research networks in the set-up of clinical trials, conduct of systematic reviews, and Health Technology Assessment reports. She previously worked for the Italian Medicines Agency, the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN) and Cochrane. She is author of 110 peer-reviewed publications in international journals.
