Dr Robert Sinto
Biography
Dr Robert Sinto is an Indonesian Tropical and Infectious Diseases Consultant serving as the Indonesian Ministry of Health clinical lecturer at the Cipto Mangunkusumo National Referral Hospital-Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia, Indonesia.
He earned his Medical Doctor, Internal Medicine Specialist, and Subspecialist-Consultant from Universitas Indonesia, Indonesia. At the end of 2024, he completed his PhD (DPhil) in Clinical Medicine on hospital antimicrobialresistant (AMR) infections, diagnostic, and antimicrobial stewardship (ASP) at the University of Oxford, UK. Currently, he is pursuing an MSc in Clinical Education at the University of Edinburgh, UK.
During the last decade, he has been heavily involved in the country and hospital level policy, clinical practice, research, and education on AMR, ASP (including AWaRe system implementation), emerging, and immunocompromised host infectious diseases (including vaccine implementation). In addition, he has been actively involved in various international infectious diseases collaborations, holding leadership roles in the Indonesian College of Internal Medicine and the Indonesian Society of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
He is recognized nationally and internationally as can be seen by his publication, presentation, and award records, counting the highly esteemed “The Future Leader” national award by the Indonesian Minister of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform in 2021.
