Dr Rolando Enrique Domingo
Biography
Dr Rolando Enrique Domingo is currently Coordinator for the Noncommunicable Diseases Unit at the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific. He has over 20 years of experience across clinical practice, teaching, research, health regulation, health policy and international health systems.
He holds advanced training in international public health, with specialized training in clinical epidemiology, ophthalmic oncology and pathology.
Prior to joining WHO, Dr Domingo served in senior leadership roles in the Philippines, including as Undersecretary at the Department of Health and Director General of the Food and Drug Administration, where he oversaw national programmes on disease prevention and control. He is also a tenured professor at the University of the Philippines.
