Biography

Romina Oliveira is an infectious diseases specialist and public health professional at Brazil's Ministry of Health, where she serves on the national technical team responsible for HIV, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Her work focuses on the development and implementation of national policies and clinical guidelines for STI and HIV prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care. She has extensive experience in clinical service delivery, public health programme management, and the implementation of interventions in underserved and vulnerable populations, including in the Brazilian Amazon.

She has contributed to clinical and epidemiological research on STIs, served as a consultant to PAHO/WHO Brazil, and is a member of the HIV Scientific Committee of the Brazilian Society of Infectious Diseases. She is committed to advancing equitable, rights-based approaches to sexual health and healthcare access.
