Rozina Khalid
Biography
Rozina Khalid is a medical doctor and specialized in the field of Public Health. She has over 22 years of work experience in maternal, neonatal, child health and nutrition. She is the Focal Person for Nutrition and Gender at the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Pakistan. She is a member of WHO’s Guideline Development Group for the Guideline on the Prevention and Management of Wasting and Nutritional Oedema (Acute Malnutrition) in infants and children. Nationally, she has served as a member of various technical advisory groups including the Nutrition Advisory Group, National Nutrition Forum, Technical working groups (IYCF, CMAM, Adolescent nutrition,) disease Control priorities (DCP3) Nutrition and Diet group. Over her career, she has provided maternal, neonatal and child health and nutrition services in rural and urban settings with non-profit national and international organizations. She has also worked as a Nutrition Consultant with the WHO Pakistan Country office. She served as Assistant Professor at the Health Services Academy teaching maternal, neonatal child and adolescent health and nutrition for the Master of Public Health (MPH) programme.
She is a graduate of Rawalpindi Medical College, and the University of Health sciences Pakistan. She has also attended various courses in reputable universities abroad, including John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA and at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK.
