Sandhya Singh

Mrs Sandhya Singh is an expert statistician, civil servant and policy and strategy advisor, currently serving as Deputy Director General in National Statistical office of India.

She is responsible for overseeing global indices, environmental accounting, gender and social and welfare statistics, children statistics and other health and demographic surveillance systems, co-ordination with Parliamentary committees, various ministries and UN partners; financial and manpower management of all India social and demographic data and indicators and related surveillance systems. She acquires advanced technical knowledge, statistical skills and more than two decades of experience in resource allocation, training and policy decision that is central to maternal mortality (MMR) and morbidity measurement, including sustainable development goals specifically goal 14, 8 and 3 .
