Ms Sanjita Sharma
Biography
Ms Sanjita Sharma is a biomedical engineer who currently serves for the Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal at the Department of Health Services.
With a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Purbanchal University, Nepal, she has 8 years of experience working on medical devices at the national level. Her work has focused on regulations for safety and standards, procurement of medical equipment, inventory of medical devices using the unique device identifier (UDI), and nomenclature systems. She is also an expert user and trainer of PLAMAHS, a tool for planning and managing assets in health services. She developed learning resources packages on medical devices and trainings for trainers at central and provincial levels as part of several initiatives conducted by the Nepalese National Health Training Center and supported by WHO.
She has a wealth of ground level implementation experience, including working on healthcare waste management and coordinating a nationwide medical equipment maintenance program.
