Dr Seung-Ah Choe
Biography
Dr. Choe holds the position of associate professor in the field of preventive medicine at Korea University, located in Seoul, South Korea. In her role, she imparts knowledge in the areas of epidemiology, women's health, and biostatistical methods. Trained as an Obstetrics & Gynecology specialist and Preventive Medicine physician, she has received a medical doctor degree from Seoul National University in 2005, followed by a doctoral degree in public health from the same institution in 2016.
Dr. Choe 's professional expertise spans across obstetrics & gynecology and epidemiology, which enables her to approach public health challenges from a comprehensive perspective. Her research endeavors have centered on understanding the influence of cultural, socioeconomic, and geographic factors on maternal and child health disparities, both on a national and global scale. Her recent contributions include the establishment of legal criteria for the assessment of miscarriages, stillbirths, and preterm births as occupational diseases among female workers.
