Dr Shadi AlAshwal holds a Master's (MSc) degree and a Doctorate in Ophthalmology from the University of Florence, Italy, and boasts over 18 years of dedicated service in community ophthalmology within the government sector at the national level. His extensive expertise encompasses the management and leadership of community ophthalmology services, focusing on project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Dr Shadi served as the principal investigator for the national blindness survey (RAAB) conducted in 2023. He also oversees the annual vision screening survey for school students. His career highlights include proficient project management skills and a commitment to improving eye health services across communities.
