Ms Sunju Lee
Biography
Ms Sunju Lee is the acting Coordinator for Capacity and Leadership Strengthening in the WHO Regional office for Western Pacific. Her current work is focused on providing coordinated, and innovative capacity building programs and support to the Member States for accelerating progress towards UHC in the Region.
Over the past 16 years, Sunju has worked extensively on health systems strengthening, the development and management of public health policies and strategies, capacity-building programmes in diverse settings in the Western Pacific Region. Before joining WHO, Sunju has served as Director and Deputy Director in the Ministry of Health and Welfare - Republic of Korea for 14 years.
Sunju has a master’s degree in International Development Policy from Georgetown University and bachelor’s degree in Economics from Korea University.
