Dr Sushant Mane

Biography

Dr Sushant Mane is a medical doctor specialising in Paediatrics and a faculty member at the Grant Government Medical College, Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, India for 13 years. He holds a postgraduate degree in Paediatrics, with a Diploma in Paediatric Sleep Medicine from the Center for Global Health, University of Colorado. His area of practice and research is paediatric pulmonology, particularly paediatric tuberculosis, paediatric asthma, paediatric sleep disorders and chronic lung diseases. Dr Mane is currently working as an Associate Professor in Paediatrics and is the Nodal Officer for the State Paediatric Center of Excellence for Tuberculosis in Mumbai, responsible for diagnosing, managing, and monitoring children with tuberculosis. He is also involved in research and training programmes on paediatric tuberculosis and asthma. Dr Mane is a Subject Expert with the National Technical Expert Group, the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), India and the Member Secretary of the National Pediatric TB Task Force. He has been a member of the Child & Adolescent TB Working Group, WHO since 2019 and has contributed as an expert in the Guideline Development Group (GDG), for the WHO Consolidated guidelines on child & adolescent TB, 2022. Dr Mane has authored over 40 publications in various national and international journals and chapters in books on paediatric respiratory disorders. He is a recognised postgraduate guide and examiner and has participated as an invited faculty member at over 130 national and international conferences.
