Yusra Gilani

Biography

Yusra Gilani is a passionate disability inclusion advocate from Pakistan, focused on enhancing access to assistive technology through innovative digital solutions. With over four years of experience in assistive technology consulting, policy development, and digital Health, she has significantly bridged accessibility gaps for persons with disabilities, especially in low- and middle-income countries. As the sole fellow from Pakistan for the assistive technology user fellowship, Yusra led a digital awareness campaign with the highest global response rate for an online assistive technology survey, contributing to successful disability projects locally and internationally.

Her background as a pharmacist and psychosocial counsellor allows her to address complex healthcare and accessibility challenges with empathy and expertise. She has provided valuable technical insights to various organizations and assistive technology companies. Driven by her commitment to inclusive digital literacy, Yusra is excited to bring her expertise to the WHO Technical Advisory Group, working towards equitable access to assistive technology for all.
