Thomas Nyirenda

Thomas Nyirenda is the Strategic Partnerships and Capacity Development Manager at the EDCTP (European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership) office based in Cape Town, South Africa. He supports coordination of 21 African member states on EDCTP General Assembly, assisting the EDCTP High Representative in engagements with African policy-making bodies, and management of an operations team from the Africa Office of EDCTP. He has contributed to Tuberculosis and HIV research in Stop TB and via the WHO country office in Malawi. He began his career as a medical officer in Malawi, Ministry of Health.
