Biography

Trevor Shilton is a consultant in Health Promotion and Physical Activity, Adjunct Professor at Curtin University’s School of Public Health and Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of WA School of Population Health.

Trevor has over 30 years’ experience in health promotion and physical activity, community wide projects, social marketing campaigns, research, policy advocacy and international health.  Trevor previously led the Australian Heart Foundation initiatives in cardiovascular health, prevention and physical activity.

Trevor holds Global positions as Chair of the Advocacy Committee, World Heart Federation (WHF), and Director of the Australasian Society for Physical Activity (ASPA). He is a fellow of the International Society of Physical Activity (ISPAH), and Life Member and founding National President of the Australian Health Promotion Association (AHPA). Trevor is a member of the WHO Civil Society Working Group on NCDs.

Trevor is an experienced researcher with numerous grants and over 100 peer reviewed publications.
