Biography

Dr Ulysses Panisset is a medical doctor from Brazil with a PhD in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. He is Adjunct Professor and coordinator of Health Policy and Planning and Coordinator of the Center for International Relations at the School of Medicine of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He was a member of HRP’s WHO Scientific and Technical Advisory Group (STAG) from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, he was Coordinator of the Research and Knowledge Translation (RKT) unit at the Knowledge, Ethics & Research Department which hosted the global secretariat of the Evidence-Informed Policy Network (EVIPNet), a program that promotes the use of research evidence in policy-making in 42 countries in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, as well the administration of a network of more than 800 WHO Collaborating Centres and the International Clinical Trials Registry Platform.
