Ms Katie Wilson, MPH is an Epidemiologist in the International Infection Control Program within the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She works with Ministries of Health and partners in low- and middle-income countries to design and implement resource-appropriate prevention and surveillance activities for HAI and AMR. Her recent focus has been IPC prevention and response strategies for viral hemorrhagic fevers. During the 2014-16 West Africa Ebola response, Ms. Wilson helped Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Health build a new national IPC program. More recently, she deployed to support 2018 Nigeria Lassa Fever response and the 2018 the Democratic Republic of the Congo Ebola Response.
